Despite lockdown it’s been selling nicely – some reviews are saying it’s ‘enthralling’ and ‘beautifully written’ and the most important review to date, by author Julia Stoneham for The Historical Novels Society says 'The book has a unique quality, speaks its own mind in its own way and in an individual voice. An engaging and rewarding read.' 

  Maybe, although the story is a page turner, people are seeing it as more than that.
